1st day of school

Well we survived. McKayla started 1st grade at a new school. Randi started Pre K. Pandi had no tears and loved it. McKayla got a little teary but loved every minute of it. Here are some pics!!!

McKayla's 6th b-day

Today we had McKayla's 6th b-day!! This was her first party w/ school friends and almost all her girl cousins came. We had 9 little girls here for pizza, jewerly making, water slide fun and of course cake and ice cream. Poor McKayla had a little to much sun and came in a for while!! Princess Pandi

Today was the birthday for our little princess Pandi. Her 4th birthday. I remember the night she was born like it was yesterday!!! Time goes by so fast. She was so excited for today to get here. She started the day by wanted lunch at Pizza Duo and playing mini golf under the "pretty lights"!! Then at gymnastics we had a little ice cream party. This evening we had presents, cake and ice cream!!! She is so sweet!! I love her to pieces!!

Start of Summer

It is so nice to finally be off for 71 days!!! We already have so many plans, swimming lessons, soccer and tennis camp (I am doing the mom tennis camp) and gymnastics camp, summer reading program, and of course the wallpaper and painting!!!! We got our dining room table. It is nice!!

A lady that lives out here is remodeling and only used it a couple of times. It is almost new so she made us a deal. Now I am on the search for formal living room furniture!!!

Kindergarten graduation

McKayla had her Kindergarten promotion today. it was very sweet.

She had such a wonderful teacher this year. We were so blessed.

I am looking forward to the summer. I have never been so ready for school to be out. I think I am just ready to be at home and work on painting the house. We put our other house w/ a realtor today. Please keep us in your prayers that will sell quickly.

Amarillo

Today we decided to go look at dining room tables in Amarillo. We hit every furniture store there and came home empty handed. I think we know what we want now so hopefully I might go back after school and get it. I also purchased something I always wanted. It is a little weird but I am so excited. It is a framed copy of the Texas Declaration of Independence. I majored in history in college and taught TX History. I loved it!!! It is a blurry pic but you get the idea!!!

I hung it in my entry. Scott saw it and it was not to bad of a deal so he told me I could get it. Weird I know but I am excited. My girls are also odd too. When we ask them if they want gattiland or red lobster they pick red lobster. they love crab legs and now lobster. They would also rather get a pedicure and nails done than go to the toy store. They may never get married b/c they are high maintenance. My fault but you need to be spoiled every now and then :) we had a nice day over there. well it is the last week of school then I get to start painting the house. I will post pics as it happens!!!

No Motorcycles

Last night Scott got my motorcycle out and started it. He rode it down the driveway and then turned around in the street and came back. No big deal right???? WRONG. Within a few minutes here comes the sheriff. Now we actually live outside the city limits and NEVER have seen any time of law out here. Everyone rides motorcycles and 4 wheelers out here. We don't because we know that is the rules. So the sheriff pulls into the driveway and gets out. he tells Scott to come towards his car and he puts on these big black gloves. I couldn't actually hear what he was saying b/c Randi is crying the whole time "daddy is going to jail". Scott explained what he did and he was not the one who had been riding over the past few days. Scott said he was a real butt about it at first and then became nicer. The thing was by the time he got there my bike was back in the garage. At least it turned out OK.

Theft and Tea

I know I can't keep my kids world perfect but it would be so nice. Earlier this week I took mcKayla's competition uniform out of my purse and sat on my desk at work. She knows to get off the bus and come to my room and change. I passed out some papers to my kids and the bell rang. I went back to my desk and her suit was gone. My friend came over to help me look but it was gone. mckayla was in tears b/c she has to have that for gym. I turned it into our school crime stoppers. The next day I made my class feel horrible for hurting an Innocent 5 yr old girl. mckayla just couldn't understand why someone would take something that does not belong to them. We talked about how God doesn't like that and how wrong it was. She let several people know how wrong stealing was. Today her suit was found and we have it narrowed down to a couple of kids. There were so many kids who were irate about this. They came up to me (from every grade level) and asked who would steal from me b/c I am so nice. I am glad there are still good kids out there.

On a happier note today was the mother's day tea at her school. we had a nice time. She gave me a flower and wrote this story about me. Some parts are kind of out there but I love it!!!!

My Mother

My mom is nice. her hair is blonde. her eyes are green. She is 30 yrs old, 13 in tall, and 17 lbs. She loves to eat tacos. She cooks cake really well. She is happy when we go to red River. I know she gets angry when my sister gets in trouble. She is absolutely crazy about going to see my grandma and grandpa. her favorite animal is our dog. her favorite TV show is American Idol. My mom knows alot about Science. If she had one wish she'd wish for a cat. I love my mom b/c she loves me. I know she loves me b/c she is always nice!!!

Daddy's B-day

My girls love it when it is some one's birthday. Today was Scott's. The girls were so excited to get up this morning and give him his gifts. We went to church and after we took him to eat at Red Lobster and did some shopping in Amarillo. It was a nice day just being w/ him!! We also now have a riding mower and he was thrilled about that. He got the front mowed and enjoyed it!!! I enjoy it b/c now he can do it and I don't have to. here is a pic of the girls on it!!!

TBall Gone Wild

Tonight was the first tball game. It was so cute and so funny. Most of the kids had no idea what to do. Mckayla hit her ball every time but she forgot to run. We were all screaming run. Then she didn't know when to run to second and so forth but most of them didn't. But the girl can hit!!!! They got snow cones when it was over so she was thrilled about that. It so nice out there. We really enjoyed it. My parents came. I guess they don't keep score so everyone was a winner!!!

1st soccer game

McKayla had her first soccer game. They lost the first game but mcKayla scored the only goal for her team. She got really aggressive and pushed a girl down. We have never seen that side of her w/ other kids. The second game they won and she scored 3 goals!!! We were so proud of her. My mom cracked us up because she really got into it. i think she misses going to games. My brother did baseball and football. He even did soccer for a while. The first t ball game is Tues. Should be interesting. I think McKayla will shine more in soccer. My camera was acting up. I only have a couple of pics from the game. I am still working on the Easter dress pictures but here is one of what the Easter bunny brought. They are huge ICarly fans. They each received an ICarly shirt and Carly hobo purse.

I didn't get a picture of this but after dinner they went to get a prize and started fighting over the Cheerios. It was a new big box I had just opened. Well 2 people pulling on it and you can imagine what happened. Yes Cheerios all over my nice clean kitchen floor. I made them clean it up. There were many tears and fights but it took them 1 solid hour and they had it all cleaned up. Hopefully they learned a lesson. They had to take and bath and go to bed right after.

Egg fun

We did our annual tradition of dying eggs w/ the Ford girls'. Every year my friend Dana has brought her 2 girls over and we color eggs w/ them. We set a record this year. We had about 50 eggs. Don't ask why I really don't know. They don't get to much into the decorating they just enjoy being w/ each other. They are all a year apart in school. We had several eggs break. Mostly Mckayla. Oh well it's part of it I guess.

Clorox wipes get the stains of fhands and then a really good hand scrubbing w/ soap to get the clorox off :) Happy Easter!!!!

Blessed

Today was Mckayla's egg hunt at school. They went to the park and found 6 eggs each and had snacks, then played. I decided I was not going to miss this so I went against my better judgement. I did survive but am paying now but it was worth it to see her.

here are my girls and mcKayla's BFF. I am so blessed to have them. I am also so blessed to have a wonderful husband who has taken such good care of me this week in the evenings. My mom has been here every day to help me and my dear friend dana came last night to help. Scott and I are also blessed to have his grandparents who took care of randi while I was in the hospital Mon. She had such a wonderful time w/ them. Thank you all for caring so much for us!!! Love to all!!!

McKayla's soccer game was cancelled due to the wind yesterday. She cried. I can honestly say I was not to upset since the wind was blowing 60+. I thought I would post a pic of our pre Easter dresses pictures. Mom and I found these dresses and thought they were so cute. This is the first year that our Easter dresses will not match and I let the girls pick their own. Mckayla went to the big girl section. it was so sad. Pics will come next week of those.

Here is the first t ball lesson from daddy. mckayla did pretty good but Randi is the powerhouse hitter. Those of yo uwho really know her pretty well probably aren't surprised.

I can explain the outfit. She had gymnastic, then off to soccer w/ her pinks sweats and a top w/ the gym suit under.

Snowman

This is the first snow that has been "snowman snow" since the girls have been born so we decided to build a snowman in the back yard after lunch. There wasn't enough snow out front. It is really starting to melt right now.


This is the grill from last night. it was our normal steak night. Not even a blizzard will stop Scott from cooking his Friday night steak!!!

Gizmo after a run in the snow. He normally won't go out in cold or wet weather but he ran through the snow and it was so funny. He was shivering so he went in early!

And here is our 1st big snowman. Pandi wanted to know when he would come to life. Scott told her that was only a pretend story. The girls had a snowball fight and decided it was cold and they were ready to come in. The snow was nice for a day but I am ready for spring weather.

1st Soccer Practice

Mckayla had her first soccer practice tonight. She loved it. Last yr she tried it and cried and it was a nightmare so we pulled her. She was to young but she did awesome tonight. they had a little scrimmage and she scored 3 goals. e can't wait for the first game to see how she does. They got to pick a team name and her idea won. They are the stars. The coaches are so sweet. They even asked Pandi to come and practice but she didn't want to. I found that odd. Mckayla has practice twice a week. She was pumped!!!!

Gymnastics

We had our last regular competition today. Next is state and we will be done. Mckayla will do soccer and today we signed up for tee ball. Busy times!!! Randi got 2 first and McKayla got 1st and 3rd. it was a very small meet. It was in a barn about the size of Scott's grandpa's barn. We have never been to a meet that small but we had to get our 3rd one in since we missed one. It only took about 45 min. Most of the time we are there for at least a couple of hrs.

Barstools

I am so excited. We finally got 2 bar stools today. The girls have been wanting to eat at the bar ever since we moved in and now they can. Also I was so proud of Randi. She normally speaks her mind about someone but she waited until we got into the car to say the guy at the furniture store looked weird!!!

Bikes

Today was the first time ever I went w/ the girls and let them ride their bikes in the street. Our other street was always so busy but not here. They loved it!!

Spring Break is going so great! It was such a nice day. Randi got a good report on her ears. I was so relieved. Tomorrow is going to be nice again. Hopefully we can work in the flower beds. I mowed the front today and it looks so nice. I am ready for summer!!!

Cruisin' Around the Block

It was such a nice day so Scott took the girls for a ride on his motorcycle around the block. It is so quiet and almost zero traffic out here they can all enjoy a ride!!!
